Lore DiSalvo - Long Point Historian
Lore' has lived in Livingston, Steuben and nearby Monroe County most of her life except when attending college. She has many decades of memories of Long Point Park from her youth, dating her dear husband Vin and now learning the fascinating wonderful history of Long Point Park.

Lore' was honored to be asked by Hop Manapol to help the Livingston County Planning Committee with the Long Point Park Historical Panel. The "little project" that turned into a HUGE project. She was also honored to be given the title of Honorary Long Point Park Historian by the Geneseo Town Board.

Lore', having learning picture enhancement on her own, was challenged to restore and preserve a 1923 4 foot Panoramic picture taken from the Long Point Park Dock. This opportunity was afforded to Lore' by the kindness of it's owner, Diane LaGrou. This magnificent picture was taken with a Eastman Kodak Cirkut 10 Camera possibly by Frederick Brehm of Rochester, NY. Lore' also restored and reproduced a 1887 picture
taken at Long Point Park of a Geneseo Methodist Church Picnic.

For the last 5 years Lore' has been researching the rich and amazing history of Long Point Park and Conesus Lake. She has been honored by many wonderful people who have shared their pictures, memorabilia and memories of this special park. She looks forward to hearing many more memories and viewing more pictures, films and memorabilia that can be added to the Walter Kingston Jr Museum, Long Point Park Information Center.
