The Rides

Many of you remember the rides at Long Point Park!  After the fire the rides were sold off ride by ride, piece by piece...

Since that time, we have found similar rides of the same vintage and manufacturer that Long Point had.  They are still in operation (even as we speak)!

Take a closer look at the comparison of the Long Point Rides to those at Hoffman's Playland!

(as more photos are being loaded, more ride images will be added)

Although Hoffman horses are a little more vibrant, you can see that they were cut from the same mold!

The Space Chaser was at Long Point until it was replaced by the scrambler in 1962

Although we no longer have the Space Chaser, Hoffman's Paratrooper would be a decent ride with similar thrills!

Here are some of the train cars that are to be loaded on to Ferry boats on Conesus Lake.Hoffman's trains would be a nice representation of the History on Conesus Lake

Some rides at the turn of the century were definitely thrilling!

Hoffman's appears to have a slightly safer representation of a child's thrill ride compared to the turn of the century!

Here is The Helter Skelter slide from the turn of the century.

In the Background, you can see that skee-ball was a huge part of Long Point Park.Hoffman's has Skee-Ball as well.  A portion could be part of an exhibit at the Walter Kingston Museum and Visitors Center.

This kiddie airplane ride would be a nice representation of the National Warplane Museum in Geneseo!
